Saw it a few days ago and loved it! Could feel a definite Wrightian presence at certain points in the film :) but as Dominic Proust said it perfectly captured the spirit of the books.

It came out in Australia on the 26th, I saw the first session. I’m a long time Tintin fan I’ve been really looking forward to seeing this. I think the movie captures the spirit of the books brilliantly. Congratulations, I hope it does well!

Will check it out some time this week.
What’s it feel like to have your script brought to life by Spielberg?

I really enjoy Tintin. I thought the action and storytelling were splendid. The editing was fantastic too. I loved the crafty transitions between scenes. It was a simple, straightforward and always engaging adventure in the old fashioned sense.

My girlfriend called me a “dork” the other day at the cinema: As we were watching into the theater to see Young Adult we passed a huge cardboard poster of Tintin, and I pointed with excitement to where it read “Edgar Wright”.

Side note: Did you see Young Adult yet?

Too busy watching Black Books right now on Netflix. But I will get around to it…eventually.
