/Film reader Tim Caballero brought his copy of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World to Guillermo Del Toro‘s autograph appearance and got the filmmaker to sign his DVD. Del Toro has been a vocal supporter of Pilgrim director Edgar Wright and the film and even interviewed the director, cast, and crew at a recent screening (watch the video here). I retweeted a photo of Tim’s autographed Pilgrim DVD on Twitter but thought that the non-twitter site readers would enjoy the laugh as well. Now if only Universal used this exact del Toro quote on the dvd cover, movie poster and television ads…

    Wait, could it be arranged for fans of the film to have a special downloadable insert to print out that features that blurb in a realistic fashion? Granted, I’d have a hard time picking between using the NES cartridge one now available, but I could manage with swapping them out every now and then. That or just buy another copy which I’m not opposed to. lol.

    The movie got to french theater only last week, I’ve already seen it 5 times, and each time I love it more than the previous.

    Universal did a crappy number on the release date here, I hope the french Blu-ray release will have all the bonus.

    Edgar, I really like your directing style, I’ll support you, and bring more geek to any movie you’ll direct. And believe me, I know a lot of geeks !
