Next week, the whole gang will be at Amoeba Hollywood, one of my very favourite stores to sign copies of the ‘Scott Pilgrim’ Blu-Ray & DVD. You simply have to be there.

WHO: Filmmaker Edgar Wright, comic book creator Bryan Lee O’Malley and actors Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jason Schwartzman, Brandon Routh, Anna Kendrick, Satya Bhabha, Johnny Simmons and Mark Webber will be on-hand to sign Blu-ray/DVD copies of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
WHERE: Amoeba Music, 6400 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90028
TIME: 6:30pm – get in line early!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The first 200 fans to purchase the Blu-ray/DVD (starting Tuesday, November 9th at 10:30am) will receive a special pass for the signing. Fans may also come and join the “wait-list” to participate in the signing if time permits. Click here for full details.

is it only for the blu-ray/DVD or may we bring any of the books with us. will there be photo ops too?

  • Chris Hawkins

Ah, if only I could go.:(

  • Hector

Will they stick around for the New Bev on the 12th and/or 13th?

  • http://www.edgarwrighthere.com Edgar Wright

Some of us will be there…

  • Hector

I’d understand if some had other engagements in other places. Would you suggest that I try to make both?

  • Acidkirby666

Do we have to buy the movie at Amoeba?

  • Devilsephiroth

Hmm getting there is easy, sifting through a horde is another, a long weekend for me and my boyfriend

  • Haverchuckb-12girls

Planning on driving down from Bay area with my daughters for this. Not sure if i can order the discs from here to get into 1st 200, though. Argh!
Any chance there will be a chance to get a picture instead of autographs? Perhaps a line for autographs and separate line to run through quickly people who want photos instead? Can always dream, eh?
Am looking forward to finally getting a chance to share the fun watching this with my slacker friends that i couldn’t drag to the theater…
Thanks for having all these events and putting together what sounds to be a great disc…great reviews on DVDTalk and High-Def digest!

Can’t WAIT for this event! Been waiting and waiting. I’ve seen Scott Pilgrim 9 times and my 10th will be at the November 13th New Bev showing ( I won’t watch the Blu-ray because I want to savor it). Is there anyway I could have the cast and crew sign my film poster? I want to get it framed for my apartment, but I’d love to get it signed possibly. AH CAN’T WAIT!!!

  • Guest

Is there any tickets for the New Bev available at the theater, or is it just completely sold out?

  • http://www.edgarwrighthere.com Edgar Wright

    standby line only

Nice! You’re going to be right across the street from LA Film School. You should come by and have a screening of one of your flicks some time!

I am coming down to L.A. from Utah and would love to get in on the “wait list”. I just called Amoeba though and they don’t know the first thing about one. How do I go about this then seeing as the list doesn’t seem to exist? :-(

I was wondering if it’s possible for us to bring a poster for you guys to sign instead? I’m looking at the blu ray I purchased from Amoeba this morning, and I realized, there’s not much space for autographs, certainly not enough for nine autographs.

  • Lil_mz Mari

I GOT PASSES : D: D:D i was the last one tooo the universe weas on my side I CANT WAIT

  • gdeo

it states that the wait list is only if time permits..i don;’t think there is an “official wait list” you just wait around to to see if you can get in …it’s gonna be crazy for sure..all passes are gone and were sold within the first hour .first guy in front showed up at 3am to get a pass. cannot wait for thurs.it’s gonna be fun!

  • JAWilmesJr

If anyone has an extra signing pass, can I please please please have it? I went to the first cast/crew screening at the New Beverly, but half the cast left before the screening and I was only able to get a few autographs and would love to get them all on my limited edition silk screen print of the movie. Please, please, please someone help me out!

  • Funkymastadon

Why didn’t Amoeba explain the rules better. It states that the first 200 people will get a special pass on Nov 9th which was reasonable obviously. But it doesn’t state that you still have to buy the dvd at Amoeba in order to get a Stand By pass.

  • Armando

THANK YOU GUYS!! Oh my God….I was the guy who kept saying Oh My God…thank you guys so much. I will treasure my DVD forever. T_T

So I showed up for this, stood in line sweaterless in the freezing weather and was told by staff that if I didn’t have a pass I had to leave because they can’t just have people waiting outside the store. Hours later, I read on twitter that many people without passes waited outside and got to meet and take pictures with the cast after the signing. Legitimately disappointed with the Amoeba staff for giving false information. If I could have even caught a glimpse of the cast I would have gladly waited outside for hours had they given me a chance.

Holy shit thats what they told me and my friends. We showed up early too. We had this friggin planned out then the rude people at Amoeba told us in a condescending manner said “The website says you have to buy the dvd at the store for a Stand-By Pass.” That’s “BS!” I read the the rules before hand it says it nowhere on their stupid website that you had to buy the dvd there to get a STAND-BY pass. What it did say was buy the Blu-Ray/Dvd on Nov 9th (Tuesday) to get the Special Pass for the guarantee . I mean we were willing to wait this out in the Stand-By line. But nothing like condescending assholes at Amoeba Records like always.

  • http://www.edgarwrighthere.com Edgar Wright

Sorry to hear that. I think maybe there were crowd control issues. As it turned out we signed the whole standby line too.

T.T dang!! Well a glimpse of you, Brian, and the cast would of been nice. We just decided it wasn’t meant to be. Maybe I’ll be one of those lucky guys that randomly runs into you in a random place :P . Also I was the guy that was going to try and bring in my Telecaster for you and the cast to sign haha.

But other than that, great job with the film release on Blu-ray/Dvd. Pretty much sold out everywhere at the local Best Buys where I live. The special features on the Blu-ray are awesome too :D .

Yeah, I mean, there were people who drove two hours from Bakersfield to try in the “Standby Line” and they got kicked out because they didn’t get the “standby passes.” We had no idea what they were talking about. At least 10-20 people drove a distance only to learn that they had just decided to do this without telling anyone. :( We don’t blame you, we’re just really disappointed with the way it all went down.

Yeah I wanted to chime in here in my disappointment. The thing is I waited in line on Tuesday to buy the DVD too, then a guy came out and said “sorry we ran out of passes.” He said nothing about stand-by passes, and my understanding was if you didn’t have a guaranteed pass you could wait in line later, so I left and bought my blu-ray later at Fry’s.
It wasn’t until I got to Amoeba a couple hours before the signing that the Amoeba employees told us about the stand-by passes. And yes, they basically vibed us away from the store. Besides, at that point I was so frustrated with the policy that I just left in disappointment. Which really sucks because I had the perfect thing for Aubrey Plaza to sign for my coworker, who’s nuts about her.
I’m not upset at you since I know how much you go out of your way for your fans, but Amoeba is really on my $h1t-list right now.

I have to chime in with Kitten here. This was precisely my experience. I would have followed whatever instructions they gave to ensure I had some spot in line.

Yeah, see thats stupid. I mean, I read those instructions like it was a Bible for sunday school. When the guy at Amoeba told me that I should of bought the movie here. Trying to make me feel stupid. Hmm I believe his name was Chris, that was handling the line yesterday Nov 11th. Very rude totally talked in a condescending way, he was overall rude to the people in Stand-By.

I seem to recall the rules saying no photos, or was i just reading false information. Also asked a lady that was working at Amoeba at the info booth. She told me that you couldn’t get anything else signed only the dvd nothing else.
