looks like you had an amazing year, edgar!
and that's quite the video!! kudos to joel vallie.. you really have outdone yourself!
i love you?
The last song in the video is “Go,” by Plumtree. You can find their fun video version of it on YouTube!
I wasn't familiar with the third song, which I guess is by Brendan Canning, as Michestellar mentioned above. I'll have to check him out!
Thanks for a great video, Joel! And thanks for a great blog, Edgar!
i wish i had seen this before i spend the last 3 hours scrolling through the entire photo blog.
ah well!
class video joel!
fan freaking tastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SI for DVD that be cool. Memories.Come to Mexico Edgar! I love Super Policias!
Joel, mind telling us the songs you used in the video? It sems most of us hear all dig it and I for one dont know the last song and its driving me crazy! Thnx bro for the vid, TOTALLY putting it up on me ipod
Anyone know the last song?! Driving me crazy I want it!
No problem Joel, I'll try what you suggest.
All the best.
When ever I put up a video on youtube that uses songs from bands they take it down or they cut out the audio. Sense I don't own the rights to the songs I'm afraid it would be a waste of time putting it on youtube. Sorry, you could get realplayer downloader and you should be able to grab it off of Vimeo that way.
That's what I was talking about! I'll join in with all to say nice job Joel! It is quite moving for all of us that followed the photos to see that condensed, and with that music – it must be HUGELY emotional for Edgar! Like a year's worth of fun, fatigue, happiness, frustration etc all crammed into 8 mins. Like one's life flashing before one's eyes! Literally, I guess.
Reading the last book and watching the movie will be more enjoyable experiences because of this year of photos and videos. Thanks.
I actually got quite emotional watching that
It was like watching a year of my own life go by too
And what a lovely year it was too
Loved sharing the journey Edgar
Thank you
excellent work! looks like it really reflects the fun they had while shooting the film
DAG!!! You know that took a long time. Esta con madre!
Good Job Joel, that was awesome
SO AMAZING IT'S “SICK” WAY TO GO JOEL!
Hi Joel, could you put this vid on your Youtube page as my connection can't handle streaming vids, i could then download with a tube grabber.
No problem if you can't or if you don't want it downloading i understand.
Thought I'd be cheeky (as usual!!) and ask.
All the best!
Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic! Does anyone know what the last song is, though?
looks like some people already guessed the song.
I kept thinking fistful of dollars…at least i was on the right track.
cool video
Joel, you are amaizing. Great Idea!!! Great material!!! Congrats Edgar and Joel, a great team!!!
Wow! That was great! Almost brought a tear to my eye.
Oh. My. God!
Joel that was breathtaking! I have tears in my eyes now.
I am extremely impressed with that. Absolutely amazing.
You are da bomb!
When Edgar Tweeted that a fan had done this amazing thing for him, of course I should have guessed that it would be you Joel! You rock!
Thankyou so much for making that Joel. And thanks for sharing it Edgar.
I know I'm possibly getting a little ahead of myself here, but any chance it might appear on the Scott Pilgrim DVD?
2009-The Wright Daily Photo Year—Loved it!!
Thank you Joel.–Amazing!!!
Thank you Edgar– For sharing your 09 with us
Much Love
How amazing! It makes me feel all warm and gives me chills. Excellent ending to an excellent blog.
Thanks bro. I'm a Chicano (a Mexican that was born in the U.S.) but then I returned to Mexico after that so who knows what one would call me.
Joel V. You dog. You must be the coolest non-Mexican Mexican I know. Hope I'm the list of future montage recipients. Well done bro.
That's pretty pimp. It makes me want to go back and see all the old posts.
And it makes me so exited for August.
Brilliant. Very nice. Well, done. Cheers. Gosh, one of my favorite film makers. Can't wait for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
One question though, anyone know what the third song is, after “Scott Pilgrim” by Plumtree, and who it's by.
Joel, that was incredible. Awesome job. Whenever I start to miss the photo blog, I'll just watch that video now. It's so weird to see an entire year condensed to eight minutes, but you made it very enjoyable. Nice taste in music, too. A Fistful of Fingers, Plumtree, and Brendan Canning.
Seeing how fun it is to look back has motivated me to start taking more pictures and bringing my camera along anywhere I go. Again, thanks for this. It was amazing!
Hey, it's almost like a trailer!
On a serious note that must be amazing for you, all i have to show for my last year is a short video of friends at the beach before my battery ran out.
Chingon el video Joel! Fucking great!!! Greetings to Joel, i see you live in Saltillo, i live close, in Monterrey, its nice to see mexican fans here! Come on Edgar, you should bring one of your Wright Stuff here to our country!!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Edgar. Also thanks to everyone for their lovely comments. Making this video was a lot of fun, and I felt that as fans we were spoiled with so many amazing photos this year. Making the video was the least I could do to say thank you. Many thanks, Edgar, for treating your fans so good.
BEAUTIFUL. For anyone else that asks for a trailer for Scott Pilgrim, just send them this.
Joel, that was an incredible and heartfelt tribute to our favorite director! I miss those photo a day blogs, but at least we have this!
That's the music from that awesome movie A Fistful Of Fingers
Bravo Joel really enjoyed watching that, must have taken you ages.
Wonderful video. And moving, might I add.
And Edgar – thanks for the painstaking detail, we have enjoyed it much
p.s. that first music is from “a fistul of fingers”, is it not?
That was awesome!
Thank you so much Joel! That was unbelievable, you did a fantastic job!!
That is wonderful, Joel Vallie!
To Joel: Wow, man. What an amazing video. Your hard work is definitely shown in your video and you did an amazing job! It is wonderful to see all the photos from the past year shown in one video, allowing all of us who have seen Edgar's photos from day 1 able to relive them once again. Great work. I love it.
Edgar: It was so much fun seeing your photos everyday during pre-production and while filming was going on. Definitely a bittersweet moment when it all came to an end, hehe. It was a fun ride.
That was amazing. Thanks so much for sharing it with all of us. WOW
Wow. That was aMAzing!
Well done Joel!
