Scott Pilgrim Blu-Ray Preview: Visual Effects Breakdown

*[Edited January 6th, 2010] In honour of our amazing visual effects team making the next stage of selection for the VFX Academy Award here again a clip of the Visual Effects Breakdown from the Scott Pilgrim extras, where Frazer Churchill from Double Negative explains all. *

The long promised Blu-Ray and DVD hit stores in the US and Canada a week from today.

So let me tease you with some more behind the scenes science. This VFX breakdown narrated by our Visual Effects Supervisor Frazer Churchill shows you the painstaking work done by the wizards at Double Negative, along with my big brother Oscar who helped design some of the graphics.

If it exhausts you thinking about the work that went into these few seconds, imagine a whole movie of the same.

    Question about the signing at Amoeba: If I’m not one of the first 200 to buy the Blu-ray on the 9th, that means I can’t greet you (and whoever else shows) on the 11th in the store? (I’m flying out to catch the second New Beverly screening and will be in L.A. on the 11th, but not early enough to be one of the first 200 to pick up the disc(s) on the 9th :( I don’t even really care about getting a signature, just want to have a chance to say hey to all the other guys who’ll be appearing with you there (I’m already planning on seeing you & Kieran in NYC next week :)
    Regardless, thanks again for all these screenings and chances to meet you/guys, I’m looking forward to it (and theatrical viewings #s 7 & 8 :)

    Probably the best breakdown I’ve ever!!! It’s awesome and in depth and everything! i love it :D :D
    This will totally help when i make fan films and stuff, can’t wait to get the whole thing!!!
