  • Hey!

My name is Sergey Moosatov. I am on the film bloggers in Latvia (kinocast.lv, kinokults.lv, nofilmets.lv, kinoteikumi.lv) who for the past two years have been organising special film screenings for the long-awaited films. Instead of regular “red carpet premieres”, we try to make it more as a gathering of film geeks and enthusiasts. We prepare presentations about the film/directors/genres (or related topics like “theoretical time travel” presentation before “Looper”), contests for the audience and other perks (e.g. a chance to win a custom poster — http://i.imgur.com/i9ozDzM.jpg) We don’t run these screenings for profit, they are based on our enthusiasm. Besides, the biggest reward of organising the events is a superb audience; it doesn’t talk, respects other viewers and laughs/claps in all the right moments, like, for instance, when Bruce Wayne rides his Lamborgini for the first time in 8 years in TDKR.

As of right now we have done 26 screenings. In a week we are going to show “The World’s End” for the audience. In fact, it will be the only screening of the film in Latvia (the film market here is small, so there won’t be a wide or even limited release). The reason I am writing this, is that we always try to get a video greeting from director. So far we’ve got a video from Rian Johnson (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQl7RrB2NC8) and Hugh Jackman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Iml9oTu_qM). So my question is, can you please record a short video greeting from you? We would greatly appreciate it.

If you have any questions, please drop me a line at [email protected] (in fact, it would be even better to continue this conversation in the mail and delete this comment).

    Thanks,
    Sergey

You must be so proud and happy……if being totally sleep deprived allows for that. How nice to get such great responses- and all totally deserved. SO much pressure for the third film, and you totally pulled it off. Ha ha- “pulled it off”. Sorry, that was childish.
