‘Shaun of the Dead’ Photo-a-day / Shoot Day 1 / May 11th, 2003

Shaun Of The Dead – Photo-a-day / May 11th, 2003

So on this very day, ten years ago, we began principal photography on ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ in London. To celebrate this we’ve decided to take you through every single day of production over the next month or two. Team Big Talk have gone through personal photos, stills, rushes and continuity photos to give you an unique day by day account of our shoot.

It brings back many many memories and I hope you get a kick out of it too.

Let’s start with what we did on Day 1 of the shoot. Well how about the longest, most complicated steadicam shot of the film?

Ah, great memories for me too. Couldn’t wait for this to come out on DVD so I could watch it again. If I remember, I watched it, then immediately watched it again with commentary, then inhaled the rest of the extras. Did the same with Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim too 🙂

is the commentary good? I’m debating whether I should watch the scott pilgrim commentary or the shaun one to commemorate the ten year aniversary.

      • Get all the commentaries on, after watching the film on DVD I go tthem on and was laughing like mad.

I’m a stickler for chronology, so watch Shaun, THEN Scott 🙂
