I think the subject heading makes it pretty clear what you’re about to see.
This is the latest from Lee Hardcastle who did an ace claymation ‘Evil Dead’ for 2010′s Empire Awards.
This clay ‘Shaun’ is great too and not a little trippy; non UK viewers may be confused by the appearance of the Milky Bar Kid and Jeremy Beadle from the set of ‘A Fistful Of Fingers’.
Enough of my waffle, enjoy this 60 seconds of mayhem.
Check out more of Lee Hardcastle’s work here.
Here’s a super cool fashion short featuring Lynsey Pow, who is not only an alum of my Grindhouse trailer ‘DON’T’ (she played the wife of doomed hangman victim Rafe Spall), but also an alum of my beloved comprehensive Wells Blue School in Somerset, the sleepy city where I grew up (and later lovingly trashed in ‘Hot Fuzz’).
Here she is in a Hitchcockian revolving door of identity made for Twenty6, an online fashion quarterly that pays homage to a letter of the alphabet each issue. This will be the letter ‘B’ then…
It’s also worth noting that my good friend Lynsey has the greatest surname of all time. Pow. Who wouldn’t want the surname Pow?
Pow!
Check out the short.

‘The Adventures of…’ will showcase a series of fashion stories, with the concept based around the same girl who changes her name and personality for each letter of the alphabet and each issue.
Launching with ‘The Adventures of BELLE’, over time the series will build into a humorous, yet stylish collection of photographic tales. As part of the launch fashion photographer Julia Kennedy has directed and produced B-MOVIE.
Last night I swung by towards the end of The W Hollywood’s outdoor screening of ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs The World’. It turned out to be a lot of fun. Thanks to all who came.
They provided, as promised, free mini manicures for the crowd, but also these fancy ass cocktails below.
I nabbed one of the special themed cocktail menus for myself, but I thought I’d share it with you all, so you could have a go at making these yourself (and presumably for less than $15 a pop).
I didn’t get to try any of them, so let me know how they tasted if you were there.
And if you make them at home, do they tickle your tastebuds?
And finally, can any of them measure up to the Wrightini ? Can you guys come up with better, more inventive (and cheaper) cocktails themed to the books / movie?

This recreation of ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs The World’ was filmed for Swede Fest 7 and like the movie itself did not garner a nomination for Best Visual Effects.
A very good effort though. Love Lady Patel and the cut out sound effects. Those were exactly the kind of gags I pulled when I used to make amateur movies as a kid.
Check out the very cheap and equally cheerful ‘Scott Pilgrim’ by Heather McLane.
That said, it’s not quite as cheap as the towel festival that is Mr HomemadeFilms1.
I am pretty sure I have never had a manicure during a movie. Some films I would not like to see mid manicure, such as ‘Repulsion’.
But on Monday, you can see ‘Scott Pilgrim’ with cocktails and manicures at Hollywood’s swinging W Hotel. It’s for over 21′s only, but it is free admission.
I could be tempted to attend, if only to see what the themed cocktails are. What ingredients go into a ‘Sex Bob-Omb’? Your thoughts are welcome.
If you’re in LA on Monday, swing by and find out.

W happenings presents at Station Hollywood hosted by Leo Quinones mix & mingle under the stars at a special outdoor screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Complimentary Mini-manicures from Bliss Spa Hollywood.
Sip on our specialty themed cocktails.
06/27/2011 ~ 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm @ Station Hollywood, W Hollywood For further details on the venue visit.
I don’t know how long it’s been since I last posted a ‘Scott Pilgrim’ mash up.
2 weeks? 2 days? 2 seconds?
Either way, this was sent to me and it’s pretty epic, so I hope you’ll forgive me for reposting. I think having done so many of these montages in my youth, I’m endlessly amused, flattered and impressed by editors rejigging our footage.
This magnificent piece is set to the music of Anamanaguchi who did an extraordinary job with the ‘Scott Pilgrim’ video game soundtrack. Indeed their track ‘Party Stronger’ from that score should be on any future party playlist for the next decade.
This 7 minute mash up is soundtracked to the track ‘Mermaid’ from the album ‘Dawn Metropolis’ and is edited by Steven Grant . It gets especially good around the Roxy sequence at the 5.22 mark.
Check it out and hats off Steven. (And Amamanaguchi too of course)
(By the way, this is spoiler heavy, but if you haven’t seen it yet, get the hell out of my house.)

The Somerset House season is always a blast, I’ve seen The Shining there, a double bill of Starship Troopers and Aliens, the mighty Flash Gordon with Brian Blessed introducing and also had Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz play on consecutive years. So I’m very pleased that Film Four’s Summer Screen 2011 is showing ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs The World’ on August 4th.
Osymyo is DJ’ing before, so it promises to be a blast and a half. I hope I get to be there.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World (12A)
Thursday 4 August 2011
Get ready for an intense blast of movie energy from Edgar Wright, director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. The lovable Michael Cera is Scott Pilgrim and he’s IN LOVE. Problem: his girlfriend Ramona’s got baggage – seven evil ex-boyfriends who all want to stop Scott. Let battle(s) commence! Comedy with some sad bits, music plus dancing, romance with kissing, lots of fighting, lots of fun. It’s everything you ever wanted from (at least) seven different films, all in one!Running Time: 112min
Tickets on public sale Thursday 9 June.
Check out the other amazing shows on offer too, not least a formidable double bill of ‘Die Hard’ and ‘Attack The Block’. That’s a must see.
Also highly recommended, a triple bill monster mash of Joe Dante’s classic ‘Gremlins’, new Norwegian sensation ‘Troll Hunter’ and, a personal fave of mine, ‘Tremors’.
What a way to go.
