I can't belive there's no Flying Burrito Brothers.
Maybe they'll come out with a "B-side" album (ala the Juno "Almost Adopted songs") I'd buy it!
  • There is a Burritos Brothers track in the film. There's at least another six songs in the actual movie, as well as all of Nigel Godrich's score, Cornelius, Dan The Automator and more.

    Need more Anamanaguchi
  • The SP game is all Anamanaguchi!

Hmmm. This is good, but I think it could be better. Songs that inspired O'Malley such as Thrust Hermit's "Oh Man! What to Do?" or others could give more substance to the soundtrack.

I noticed there are a lot of English bands. Not only on the soundtrack, but on the trailer too. Prodigy, Ting Tings, Blood Red shoes. Not a bad thing, just noting.

Sounds good overall. The movie is going to be AWESOME with a double A, so I hope the soundtrack stands at the same level.

Ting Tings and Prodigy in the advert. Guessing that's just for the ad then.

Aww, no "Last Song Kills The Audience"?
  • This is so awesome!
  • AmberGrindstaff
    YES!! Love!

Caught that 9 minute clip at the Q&A; with JJ Abrams. This really is going to be the Cameron Crowe/Comic Book/Videogame lovechild that everyone wants it to be, and this soundtrack definitely proves that all the more. I think Mr. Wright is doing for Bryan Lee O'Malley what Mr. Jackson did for Tolkien. In a mostly bleak summer, Scott Pilgrim shall rise above!
  • Looking forward to hearing this.
  • The Bluetones: “Sleazy Bed Track” - Yeah Roy!
  • SarahAC
Oh yes. I look forward to adding this alongside the Spaced. Shaun & Fuzz soundtracks amongst my favourite albums of all time!

06 Crash and the Boys (Broken Social Scene): “I’m So Sad, So Very, Very Sad”

    Is this 0.4 seconds long?
  • Bringing Beck into this was a genius idea. I tip my cap to you sir.

Looks good, but missing a few (like The Prodigy) from the international trailer. Are these not going to be in the movie?
  • Sometimes what can be licensed for the movie soundtrack is impossible (or impractical or just too expensive) to license for the Soundtrack Album.

No The Clash at Demonhead? I'd really like to hear "Underwater Motor Scooter!"
  • outuendo
Metric is doing the Music for Clash at Demonhead.
  • thatoneguy
Is there a release date set for the soundtrack?
  • outuendo
August 10th is what I found.
  • Wow. This is almost as exciting as the movie itself. Almost.
  • Detroit1981
Can't wait! Let's get a vinyl release too, Edgar!!!
