I liked Avatar quite a bit. I see UK prices at theaters are no more reasonable than US. Isn’t 7.5 pounds for a matinee equal to about $12 American? Wow!

It's kind of embarrassing how excited I was when my theater started selling Junior Mints. I got them once to get the “Edgar experience.” Now I get them whenever I see a movie.

The only place i know of that sells Junior Mints in the UK, is Selfridges, i've only been able to buy them in a really small box they sell them for about £1.50.

  • Red

No Junior Mints in the UK?! That's tragic.

  • SarahAC

We can't get them in Australia either. Well, they are rare anyway.
Maybe you need a UK equivalent for rating purposes. How about Minstrels?
Yum. Wish I had a bag of Minstrels right now. Those are rare in Australia too.

Glad to hear Avatar is good. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

You can't get them in the UK.

But since you ask, Avatar would get my Junior Mint seal of approval.

  • SarahAC

    Where's the Junior Mints?

I'm seeing this on Wednesday night at the Gold Class cinema as part of my hubby's work Christmas function.

  • Sarah5636

Yeah. I hang my head in shame ;) I went on preview night & the cinema by me wasn't showing it in 3D & i was all excited about seeing it so went anyway. No worries Joel got round to seeing it in 3D in the end :D

Saw that today, very beautiful to watch. Richard Taylor definitely has another Oscar in the bag with those special effects. Also even more exited now about Alice in Wonderland after seeing that cat in the trailer in 3D

    ooh 2 of everything!

like your dedication to espresso - even at the cinema he orders one!

  • victoe

  • Sean Close

    what did you think then?

  • Paula

    Avatar is wow! isn't it?
but the ticket price is awful, like R$18,00 here in Brazil. Way too much

  • AmberGrindstaff

I want to see Avatar.. you said it's fucking stunning… Indeed!

Gotta see Sherlock Holmes on Christmas Day

  • edouglasww

Man, I wish we had more theaters in NYC that had reserved seats… would have avoided the craziness of the riot that nearly broke out in the line-up for my IMAX screening on Friday… definitely recommend seeing this one in IMAX 3D if you have a theater near you. DOesn't lose a thing and actually gains a new level of immersivity.

I've been to see Avatar again today, to watch it in 3D this time, such a cool movie, & i loved Sam Worthington in it. Hope you enjoyed it. Also i really enjoyed your 6music show earlier :)
