I've never commented here before, but I find this “blast from the past” impeccably timed.

This afternoon I arrived in New York, completing a road trip that began in Portland, OR a week and a half ago. My journey included several of the cities you mentioned. I traveled with a fully packed car, a rat that chewed through his travel cage, and a neurotic dog, so I'd imagine your trek was completed with a bit more style than my own. Regardless – good times.

what a great idea, cos it would be heartbreaking if the myspace blogs disappeared through some tech disaster.

I only 'joined' in feb 2008 so it will be fun to se what I'd missed (have already caught up with the mexico blog)
