Thank you Edgar for trailer-from-helling this one. A total “dad movie” nnI had a devil of a time tracking down a copy, then found an old VHS to borrow from a public library.

I had a devil of a time tracking down a copy, then found an old VHS to borrow from a public library.

  3. Rubble44 says:

I don’t remember it, but apparently, the first time our parents took us to the drive in, it was for this movie. We were 3, I believe. We still give my mom grief about her parenting skills for that one.

But the film looks interesting, may have to track it down.

  4. Dylan 37 says:

I doubt i’ll be able to find this at blockbuster.

  5. Steve says:

I saw it when it came out on DVD a few years ago and It is quite entertaining, and is even featured in “A Decade Under The Influence” (Which shows some of the aforementioned bunny sequence.)

  6. SarahAC says:

Yay! It was about time for another of these.
This movie looks brilliant. I must see it. Especially since The Big Lebowski is my favourite movie of all time. I adore Jeff Bridges.
And Edgar having a mancrush on Jeff Bridges is one of the hottest things I’ve ever heard!

  7. Elisabeth says:

Your narration of this trailer is like listening to myself, if I was a guy with a British accent. I love this movie, it really needs to have a renaissance. So many great moments — the cross dressing, the rabbits, the naked lady who keeps trying to seduce Bridges, the psychotic girl Bridges hooks Eastwood up with … it needs to be played at midnight showings and quoted. “Redheads are bad luck.”

Jeff Bridges was nominated for an Oscar for this movie! I still find that incredible. Apparently, Cimino told him his only task during the course of the film was to make Eastwood laugh as much as possible, and you can tell — there are times when Eastwood looks genuinely startled at something Bridges says or does, and then bursts out with that grin he rarely ever let fly outside of the orangutan movies.

I miss these trailers from hell. Iv never seen this movie. I need to educate my self and see more movies.

  9. Scott pilgrim Vs. the red light district says:

lol i had a man crush on Clint east wood ever since i saw Escape from Alcatraz but iv never seen this one though but i relate

  10. cubitfox says:

I don’t think he’s had a sex change, he keeps denying that he has anyway

  11. wendy says:

LOL, I thought you were talking about two movies…Jackie Chan’s Thunderbolt and some movie called Lightfoot. I lost Netflix yesterday so I guess I won’t be watch this :( .

I was watching From Dusk Till Dawn on TV last night..I havn’t seen it since it came out. Doesn’t Quentin really have a thing for feet? If I remember right I heard that somewhere..that helped his character’s creepy factor..I mean the vampires wern’t even as creepy! I would love to see you do a vampire movie one day :D .
I watched Let the Right One In the other night ( instant play on Netflix for those of you who havn’t seen it), I don’t think I’ve had so many different feelings during a horror movie before. Ok, I’ll stop blabbering now :D .

  12. pieface says:

i had no idea jeff bridges had ever overlapped with clint eastwood!

it does actually look really good. the cross-dressing bit must have fried your confused mind.

have you heard of a film called Spasmo? someone tweeted about it.
the tagline is ‘Beyond Psycho – Spasmo’!

  13. Annabelle says:

Sounds brilliant, I’ll have to see it. I hope no bunnies were harmed in the making of this picture :P

  14. Sean Mac says:

Brilliant and very underrated film. The scene with the nutter with the Rabbits in the boot of his car is genius. Lol

  15. Amber says:

An Eastwood flick i’ve never seen…. how can that be….

  16. Tom Fuchs says:

Ah, the ’70′s. Where even formulaic buddy pictures are completely odd and idiosyncratic (see: this, Freebie and the Bean). This is a nice place to get your daily Cimino allotment.

  17. BuckyTodd says:

Edgar and Clint sitting in a tree – K*I*S*S*I*N*G!
Seeing that would just “make my day.”

    (Man-crushes are HOT)

  18. Sarah5636 says:

I’ve had this film on my Lovefilm list for a while still haven’t had it come through. Good to see another Trailers From Hell :D

  19. Jessica says:

I’ve never seen this movie either..

Edgar has a hawt accent. :P

  20. Slick says:

I’ve never even HEARD of this flick before. It’s got no availability date from Netflix so I’ll have to see if i can see it. I’m very keen now.

And Edgar, did I hear you right? Did you say Cimino became a woman in later life? I must have misheard and/or misunderstood that.

  21. KINGJONG says:

    Edgar-

How bizarre my older brother and I were just discussing this flick!!! Criminally underrated and under seen.

Favorite Geoffrey Lewis moment of mine, the cemetery sequence in Tobe Hopper’s 1979 television adaptation of Salem’s Lot. Climbing into the grave, opening the casket, and succumbing to the child vampire inside – classic scene.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Edgar!

    Cheers,
    Kevin

  22. Red says:

I’m embarassed to say I’ve never seen it.

I must see a movie that can make you sexually confused!
