Great thing about Drag Me to Hell is that even as I saw a lot of the scares coming, even as I was anticipating it, Sam Raimi still managed to scare me shitless.

Not to mention, there’s was some great Dark Comedy scattered here and there that I enjoyed.

    Hehe, nom nom nom…

  2. James says:

Yeah, it was badass. Basically Evil Dead 4.

  3. Sarah5636 says:

At first glance i thought you’d been to see the movie twice, probably would have been even more fun second time round if you had. Its an ace film & even though i guessed the ending halfway through i still really enjoyed it.

Im crashing out & watching Sukiyaki Western Django & my nice new shiny Slumdog Millionaire bluray tonight. Hope you have a good week of filming :D

  5. Carlson says:

I think you should follow this one with Up in 3D – total transition flick

  6. Michelle in Arkansas says:

I think it is great when you honor others in your profession and promote their work. I think we should call it the Edgar Wright-Stamp of Approval! Hmmmm….endorsement deal??? Everyone have a great day. :)

  7. angle says:

I’ve only seen the trailer so far and it looks fantastic.
Also cant wait to see Doghouse which opens here on the 12th, it’s got a great cast including a certain Mr Lee Ingleby, “it’s too orangey for zombirds”

  8. Keith says:

I figured you’d be posting the stubs to either Drag Me, Up, or both. For the record, Up is excellent too.

  9. Kyle says:

I thought Drag me to Hell was ace. The end scene was a slight shock but was totally ace.

I spent a lot of time in the cinema laughing cause the teens in the place clearly didn’t get Sam Ramai’s humour.

    Good times.

  10. Adam S Leslie says:

It looks decidedly average from the trailer (pretty much like The Unborn, which I walked out of), but I’ve only heard good things about it, so it must be one of those occasions where the trailer doesn’t do it justice. On your and Empire’s recommendation, I may have to go see it.

  11. Fryda says:

Aaaaaaaah, so friggin good, wasn’t it? Welcome home, Sam.

  12. Jesse says:

Best film of 2009 so far.

  13. Phill says:

Drag me to hell is LOUD!! Never heard a movie that loud before. Closest thing to Evil Dead 4 any time soon!

  14. Alison says:

I really loved this movie. I was screaming on and off all the way through it. Lots of fun and really scary!

  15. Carrie says:

    Oh man!! Was it awesome??

  16. Simon says:

Friday Night I saw Drag Me To Hell and I really really loved it.
Saturday Night I saw The Brothers Bloom and I really really loved it.
Tonight (Sunday) I saw UP and I really really loved it!
This is my kind of weekend, three completely different films that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone.

    • wendy says:

I tried to go see Up but it was nucking futs. I’m glad to hear UP and Drag Me to Hell are good.

  17. mew says:

    gooey fun

  18. Michelle says:

I saw a midnight screening of it and took about seven of my friends, most of which I showed the Evil Dead trilogy to. The one that hasn’t seen them kept yelling, “Why is the camera going all slanty and crooked?!?!”
What bit made you jump/laugh the most?

  19. SarahAC says:

Hmm, I wonder if this is going to be screened in Australia…?

  20. Cruz says:

I’ve been planning on seeing it… Evil Dead is the greatest!

  21. Mickey says:

i wish it was more splattery like the evil dead, but I’m very happy Raimi returned back to horror.

  22. Peter says:

I just saw that today too! the beginning had me in goosebumps! sam raimi just hit me in the head with a brick, didn’t waste time introducing the horror!

  23. Jeremy says:

I liked it a lot too, but it wasn’t as disturbing as Spider-Man 3.

  24. “Drag Me To Hell” plans not to release in theaters in Japan yet.
Maybe It will be released in a year.
    I am looking forward to!

  25. Adam says:

    Who was the lucky guest?

  26. Jessica says:

I am dying to see that movie. It looks awesome!! Hopefully, I’ll be going to the movies next week & see it.

    Glad you enjoyed it. :)

  27. Red says:

Was it all you hoped for and more?

  28. Amber BG says:

I want to see it,did you like it?
