    yeah, happy belated birthday, Edgar!

I also like Jackie Chan movies. The most recent movie of his that I saw was “Forbidden Kingdom”. He costared with Jet Li, and man was that cool and funny. Loved the cinematography and fights. I so hope they make another movie together soon. A more serious one.

  5. Nadine says:

Oh my. Did your heart burst?

I remember my Chan phase – it was like an addiction for a while after I saw the first one – off to the video store every weekend.

Pure dance. What a man. He is the Gene Kelly of his art form. (I LOVE Gene Kelly, to clarify).

  6. Crystal says:

    Happy belated birthday, Edgar!

  7. GlenJM says:

  14. Joel Vallie says:

I always tell people that when Jackie dies its going to be like losing my father. Because Jackie was always there for me when I was a kid (well his movies anyway). I don’t know any other movies star that I have been watching my who life like Jackie. That picture is awesome.

EXTRA NOTE: I think Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin is one of Jackie’s underrated movies. You never hear any one talk about it. I think its amazing.

  15. Wow!
I saw Jackie’s latest movie “Shinjuku Incident” for media screening last week.
This movie is good and more serious than usual his movies.
This movies is in assistant director of my friend.
He said that it was very hard shooting.

  16. tara says:

    that was so cute.

  17. Freddy Loayza says:

I am extremely envious of you at the moment, but now that I think about it…….you deserve it.

  23. Trevor says:

It looks like he wrote your name as “Zogar”. Is that his cute nickname for you or something? Also, that “Action- Jackie- Power” sticker or emblem or whatever is quite bad ass.

  24. Jenn says:

That has to be the coolest birthday present ever!! I’m jealous.

  25. meib says:

    That’s truly fantastic (:

  26. Red says:

What a great birthday present! And is that a heart he put on there for you? Not that there’s anything wrong with love between two men…..especially if it’s Jackie Chan!

  27. Sanc says:

    Wow, amazing.

  28. Sarah says:

    You’re such a dork. <3

  29. Michelle says:

That is amazing. Jackie Chan wished you a happy birthday. So cool. Is this the best birthday gift you’ve ever received?

  30. Drake says:

    NICE!!!

  31. Cody says:

Nice bday present, sir! “How does one say it? Obtainer of rare antiquities.” Someone finally pointed out Jackie’s small role in Enter The Dragon the other day. Brilliant.

  32. Moses says:

You had about the best birthday ever, I’m sure! Happy birthday Edgar! Have fun shooting the film. And flushing cake down the toilet. ahah Or is it only Nick that does that? Hmmm. ahah

  33. chris sanchez says:

    what???

  34. SarahAC says:

    That rocks so much!
Congrats Edgar! What a cool birthday!

  35. Cordelia says:

    That’s so great! :)
What do you say at times like this… congratulations?
I’m happy for you anyway :) I guess you’re quite a big fan judging from your film collection a few weeks’ ago
I want a signature that complicated! How long did it take him to write?
I feel bad about it but the only film I’ve seen him in is ‘The Tuxedo’.. it WAS brilliant though
    His moves are flawless
I still need rather a lot more Jackie Chan education before I can call myself a true fan though!

    • Edgar Wright says:

      Okay…

      Here’s your Chan 101.

      Drunken Master
      Project A
      Project A II
      Police Story
      Police Story II
      Police Story III
      Dragons Forever
      Wheels On Meals
      My Lucky Stars
      Armour Of God
      Drunken Master II

Come back when you’ve seen those for further suggestions.

      • faye says:

doesnt he also have a movie called
“Who Am I” or somethinglike that…
        and…
        “The Myth” :D
those are probably not famous. haha

      • Ian Shirley says:

Well I feel some what accomplished.
I have seen all of those, plus The Tuxedo.
        :D

      • A.T says:

        can’t wait for the pilgrim.
I’ve only seen like 3 of them i’m going to check that lot out!!

Thank you for that list and so much!!!

      • Cordelia says:

        Oh my goodness gracious
I have a LOT of catching up to do!
        Thanks so much
I’ll try to make you proud!
Oh and Happy Birthday by the way!
Kind of forgot to say – I hope you had a great day :)

        • pieface says:

the Wheels on Meals intrigues me.

is there some kind of Jackie Chan anniversary at the moment? they showed Rush Hour last night and Who Am I? on Sat.

couldn’t track down the Coogan interview where he talked about Jackie Chan liking unusual antique things, but i guess you could just text Coogy and ask him. am 99% sure that I’m right.

      • Smalljump says:

        Whoa!, coolest birthday present ever!!!

Another great Jackie Chan movie would be “Gorgeous”, there are 2 amazing fight scenes with Bradley Allan.

        Happy birthday, Edgar!!!

      • wendy says:

WTH..I havn’t seen 4 of those..maybe three I’ll have to look them up. That was probably your best gift of the day huh ;) …did you actually meet him or did your friend get it for you? Either way WOW.

      • Zadkiel says:

ThunderBolt was a dandy, Jackie Chan and racing…sped up footage for maximum speed!

      • Cactus says:

        Add to that list:

        Snake In The Eagle’s Shadow
        Young Master
        Heart Of The Dragon

And you’re someway to knowing JC.

Forget anything he made after DM2 in ’94, and for me cross Wheels On Meals and My Lucky Stars off the list (sorry Edgar, but those are for Samo and Yuen Biao completists, not Jackie).

  36. pieface says:

    that’s amazing!

if you want to reciprocate a pressie, i’ve read he likes antique lace and walking canes (and prob other antique things as well…but i’d check that fact maybe), read that when he was doing Around the World in 80 days.

oh and watched ‘Nuts in May’ tonight (BBC4) – Richenda Carey was in that as well!

  37. budgie says:

    have a good one, Edgar

  38. Reid says:

    YAY JACKIE CHAN!

    Happy belated birthday Edgar

  39. Yister159 says:

If those things below the heart(?) are what I think they are then, he put them a little too far up.
